Rev. Scott Jakel - Interim Pastor
Pastor Scott has been at St. Luke since November of 2015. He was brought to this congregation through the St. Paul Area Synod to walk alongside the members and friends of St. Luke following a time of clergy/staff transition. His role is to do all the things a regular pastor does - working with and supporting the staff, the council and the congregation - along with guiding and leading a process of learning how to be the healthiest, mission-centered, and most resilient congregation possible. He has been a pastor since 1992, serving in the Southwestern part of Minnesota until coming here. Scott moved to the area in February of 2016 and enjoys living in Hastings. His hobbies include volunteering as a board member on two nonprofit organizations, a variety of music, reading a ton of books, and being active with pickleball, running/jogging, walking, and biking. He thoroughly enjoys his time working with the people of St. Luke! When he leaves from here, he'll be serving at another congregation in the same capacity - as intentional interim minister.
