The History of St. Luke Lutheran Church

St. Luke Lutheran Church and its congregation began worship in 1978. Rev. Joel Bexell knocked on the doors of 2000 homes which in turn led to the founding of St. Luke Lutheran Church.  October 1978 through 1981, over 350 people worshiped at Crestiview Elementary.

It was in October 1981 that members marched from Crestiview Elementary to the building at its current location.

A new worship space and classroom additions were added between 1988 to 2004.

St. Luke is a member of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America).
