The Garden Team
The garden team at St. Luke is a group of dedicated and skilled gardeners, tending the beautiful church garden and landscaping around the gardents, weeding and watering regularly. In 2015 the City of Cottage Grove awarded St. Luke the 2015 Green Garden Award (Commercial Category). The St. Luke garden has also appeared in the January 2017 Northern Gardener magazine.
Prayer Shawl Group
Prayer Shawls are lovingly and prayerfully created by dedicated members and friends of St. Luke. They can be of great comfort to those who are hurting in any way. Please inquire at the Info Desk if someone in your life needs this special prayerful comfort. 22 prayer shawls were given out in 2016.
The St. Luke quilting team made a total of 177 quilts in 2016. Bethlehem Lutheran received 11 large quilts and 14 lap robes. 110 baby quilts went to Children's Hospital in St. Paul, Minneapolis, and the U of M and 42 lap robes went to White Pine Senior Living in Cottage Grove for their Christmas party.
The St. Luke hospitality team continues to create a time for fun and fellowship before and after worship services. Many volunteers bring treats and a solid core of volunteers serve treats and host every Sunday. The coffee is always hot!
