Call Process Update

January - On January 7th, the congregation voted overwhelmingly to call Pastor Keith Long as our new pastor! Pastor Keith has accepted our offer of Call. He will start on February 5th.

December - There will be a congregational meeting on January 7th at 9:45 am to call the next pastor for St. Luke. The Pastor that the call committee, with the approval of the council, recommending is a pastor who has 5 years of experience. He currently serves in a Twin Cities congregation so his name will be shared closer to the date of the vote. Stay tuned for details in this very exciting time for our church. Keep our new pastor in your prayers.

The call committee has completed second round interviews and is in the process of determining which of the excellent options to recommend to Council and then to the congregation. Background checks are also currently in process. Please continue to keep the Call Committee in your prayers.

Thank you,
The Call Committee

November - The Call Committee is in the process of second interviews on 2 of the original 4 candidates.

October - Your Call Committee continues to work hard and is making progress. We received names of  4 candidates from Bishop Lull and are working on scheduling and conducting interviews. Please keep us in your prayers. On behalf of the Call Committee, thank you for your trust and support.

Please keep us in your prayers.
Thank you,
The Call Committee

September - We are meeting on a regular basis and preparing for candidate interviews. Studying the Synod Call Process Manual and creating interview questions have been our focus. Names of potential candidates provided to us by the congregation have been forwarded to Bishop Lull for evaluation. We expect to receive a list of pastoral candidates early this month and will begin to schedule interviews as soon as possible.

Please keep us in your prayers.
Thank you,
The Call Committee

Pray for the Call Process

The Call Committee would like you to pray for us during this search process.  The prayer that follows is a prayer asking our Lord for guidance and wisdom.

Heavenly Father,
As our congregation enters the next steps in the call process, we pray that although it can be difficult, we trust in your timing. We pray that we’ve learned and will continue to learn what a healthy congregation looks like. Help us also to continue to understand that leadership does not fall only on a pastor, but that each of us has a role as well. We pray that you are with each member of the call committee as they work to make this important decision for our church. Be with all of the members of the congregation as well, as each of us continues to understand the role we will play as our congregation continues to learn and grow. We thank you for all the talents and gifts you have given each of us. Help us to use them to your glory. Help us also to share your love and mercy with all those we encounter.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen
